Visit the link above for all the official rules but the general gist is to post a list of 10 of your all time favorite books and then look at other's lists to find 3 that you will read. This challenge runs from May 1st until November 30th.
Here is my list, in no particular order. Actually, these are books which were my favorites from a few years ago--I listed them because they are older and I didn't see them on any other participants lists! They are really good books.
1. Spindles End by Robin McKinley

2. A Lantern In Her Hand by Bess Streeter Aldrich

3.Women of the Silk by Gail Tsukiyama

4.Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

6. The Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas

8. The Eight by Katherine Neville

9.Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear

10. The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio by Terry Ryan

The books I plan to read?
1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak--finished
2. The Perilous Gard--finished
3. The Dark is Rising by Susan B. Cooper-finished

Serendipity: I read Women of Silk a few years ago and I've been trying to remember the name of it! I've joined the Herding Cats challenge too, and I was wandering the blogs to look at others' lists. :)
not that i need another challenge, but this one is so hard to pass up! i'm working on my list right now!
Yay! Someone is going to read a book off my list. I hope you like Paris to the Moon. I think it should be time I reread it too. It's a very nice summer read actually. Enjoy the challenge. :)
I've wanted to read 'Ya Ya Sisterhood' for sometime, I enjoyed the film version.

Hey - thanks for visiting my blog (and mentioning it and my giveaway above )! I too loved the YA YA Sisterhood book!
I am here via Weekly Geeks. Thanks for visiting my blog. Funnily enough my copy of Spindles End by Robin McKinley just arrived in the post this morning. I am looking forward to reading Beauty and this one later this year. I hope you enjoy The Book Thief which is another book I am reading later in the year.
I love your list... so many good ones. (And I hope you like The Dark is Rising...) :)
Oh my goodness, I read A Lantern in Her Hand several times many years ago! I'd forgotten about that book! I really enjoyed it. A great story!
I recently read Maisie Dobbs for the Herding Cats challenge, thanks to you! My review in on my blog. Unfortunately, I didn't like it as well as you :(.
