I finished this challenge!!! Here are the answer to the wrap up questions:
Did you finish all the books you had planned to read? If not, why?
Yes! (Well all except one that I took off the list as I just couldn't get into it---a collection of short stories by Roald Dahl called Kiss Kiss .
Do you think the challenge helped you read more? Or maybe helped you read books you otherwise wouldn't have?
This challenge did exactly what I wanted it to--keep me on track with reading books listed for some other challenges I have joined!
What was your favorite book you read this spring? Least favorite?
My favorite book was Peony in Love, a very beautifully written book set in 15th century China. My least favorite was Welcome to Higby. I did not ever come to care about the characters and I found the book to be a bit more crass than I usually can handle.
Did you discover any new authors or genres that you now love?
Throughout the Spring I found that I really like the re-telling of Fairy Tales and Twisted Fairy Tales.
What did you learn about your reading habits or interests?
Because of all my challenges, I am reading way more books that don't fall into my usual comfort genre.
Are you interested in another "Fall Into Reading" challenge this fall?

Yeah, that's awesome Kim! Congratulations on completing the challenge :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! I read Peony in Love, too and thought it was super. If you haven't read Snow Flower (by the same author) you'll like it even better.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Kim! Thanks again for being part of Spring Reading Thing '08!
ReplyDeleteYou did good! It always amazes me when I look at all the lists how many books are out there that I've never heard of before!
