because my wish list just isn't big enough....

I can't believe it, but it is Friday again and time for some book finds. I had a wonderful time browsing Lesley's Book Nook again and found some, that while they may not be new to me, were brought to the forefront by her post highlighting epistolary stories. Some of these are from her and some are from comments others left on her blog. Thanks Lesley for such a fun and informative post!

Fair and Tender Ladies by Lee Smith

The Boy Next Door by Meggin Cabbot

The Queen of the Tambourine by Jane Gardam

Foreign Correspondence by Geraldine Brooks

Thanks for such a fun event MizB--(our weekly hostess!)

  1. Foreign Correspondence is a book I've been thinking about reading for awhile.
I'd not heard of Fair and Tender Ladies before. I will have to look into that one some more, it looks good.

  2. I met Geraldine Brooks last winter. She is charming (and I never use that word to describe someone). I didn't know about Foreign Correspondence -- thanks for the tip.

    Here's my Friday Find(s).

  8. I enjoyed Fair and Tender Ladies but I am a Lee Smith fan. I was also unfamiliar with Foreign Correspondence so thanks so much for posting about it. I also want to read "The Queen.."

  9. I love the cover to The Queen of the Tambourine!

I've only read one book by Lee Smith (The Last Day the Dogushes Bloomed), but I loved it. Thanks for drawing my attention to another one of her books!
    My FF post is here.
