Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page. All of the books that I received via the postal service are from paperbackswap.com transactions. I am also going to show you a few books which I found at the library last week. I know there is a weekly meme called Library Loot but I frankly can't keep up with the weekly events I do manage to participate in, let alone start another one!1. The Boy Who Fell Out of the Sky by Ken Dornstein

2. Drifting by Stephani Gertler

3. To Dance With the White Dog by Terry Kay
4. Christmas on Jane Street: a true story by Billy Romp (I read this years ago, and plan to add it to my Christmas pile next Christmas)

From the Library:
The End of the Alphabet by CS Richardson

Lost Childhood: my life in a Japanese Prison Camp During World War II by Annlex Hofstra Layson
Cozy Knits for Cuddly Babies by Elanor Lynn

Fleece Pets by Fiona Goble
How about you? What interesting things did you find in your mailbox this past week?
You have a nice variety there. I enjoyed The End of the Alphabet very much, I hope you like it too. Lost Childhood sounds like my kind of story. I'll check for it at the library. Enjoy your books. My Monday Mailbox is up:

I love paperbackswap.com. Looks like a good week. Yes, I'm new to the group.
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot of things to keep you busy this week. Those knitting books look great!

Oooh - The Boy Who Fell Out of the Sky looks really good. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Drifting; hope you do too. Have you read any of Gertler's other books? I've reviewed a couple if you are interested. http://rannthisthat.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNice list. Is "White Dog" new or is it the one Hallmark made into a movie several years ago?
ReplyDeleteNice selection of books....Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteTo Dance With the White Dog is a real weeper of a book (good though). I met Terry Kay when I interned at at small publisher in Atlanta before he went on to bigger things. He's quite nice and signed all of the books I had of his up to that point.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed The End of the Alphabet and thought it was a small masterpiece of writing. I haven't been able to successfully convince anyone else to read it though. LOL! Guess my marketing skills are rusty. Hope you enjoy it!
I wouldn't know where to start with a great stack like that!!
ReplyDeleteThese look good. Hope you enjoy them!
