Hello again. Hello.

Oh my goodness how I have missed my blog! Life just never seems to slow down!
What could be keeping me so busy? Well....in general terms, life. But specifically......
  • Work
  • School starting again--and even though I only have 1 in school now, it seems to be as crazy busy and expensive as when I had multiple kids. My baby, Sam, is now a high schooler!
  • Austen--is attending community college for one more year before transferring to University--so he is around here still and needing our parental support.
  • Andrew leaves for China again, this Saturday! Yikes, it seems like just yesterday when we were anticipating his July arrival home to us. I am sad to see him go--so far and for so long.
  • Sarah--my oldest child, mother to our beautiful Lyddie has just announced to us that she is pregnant again!!! Yes! Grandma x2 for me. Her two babes will just be 18 months apart. I anticipate lots of support giving on our part for her this upcoming 9 months! She is already so very tired.
I have been reading-- Harry Potter!!! Man those books are so long, but so entertaining. My goal is to get them read before the new movie comes out in November. I just started #5. Because of this Potter streak, I am falling way behind on my challenges for the year, and I am just going to have to be alright with that. There is always next year to join up again for many of them. (I hope)
Knitting--still is a new hobby that is kind of addicting for me. I really enjoy it but alas, it does take away some of my reading time.

Sam was just talking to me about the read-a-thon coming up and expressed a desire to participate again. I am hoping we can!

How are all of you? I hope to start visiting you all again and catching up with all that is happening in your worlds!

I will leave you with a couple of pictures of Lyddie--wearing the pumpkin hat I just finished knitting for her:

  1. I was afraid that I had missed some of your posts - glad to hear that it was just life that had me missing you :)

I really should put all other reading aside and dive into the Harry Potter books. I have only read 2.5 and I need a good literary escape right now. My youngest is hoping to reread the series before the movie premier.

Congratulations on g-baby #2! I know that little Lydie is an inspiration to have more -- she is such a cutie pie.

My eldest just informed us that we will be grandparents in April. I wish I could be as excited as you, but I am just not ready to have that title yet :(

  6. Your granddaughter is adorable! Love the pumpkin hat. You sure have been busy with family. Our two sons just started back to school last week, so busy here, too.

Glad you're enjoying the Harry Potter books so much - aren't they wonderful?

  8. Oh, congratulations and welcome back! The hat is adorable. Yes, your daughter could probably use a little help. My first two were 16 mos. apart and my last two were 17 mos. apart -- tell your daughter, "the days are long, but the years are short!"
