Book Promo....

Have you seen this book?
The Violets of March by Sarah Jio

Have you heard about this book?

"This debut novel centers around a woman named Emily who flees from New York City to Bainbridge Island in Washington State when her happy marriage disintegrates. At her Great Aunt Bee’s home she discovers a treasure – a red diary dated 1943 which has the power to heal the wounds of Emily’s heart."

Did you know there are book trailers? I didn't, until yesterday. When did this start? I love them, and I love the one I am sharing with you, about the book I have been telling you about!

I saw this book over at Caribousmom yesterday. I fell in love with the cover the minute I saw it--and as I read the blurb, I could hardly contain my desire for a copy of this book. I was doubly delighted when I discovered the author lives in my neck of the woods, Seattle! Part of the book's setting takes place on Bainbridge Island, a little island in the middle of the Puget Sound... an island I visited last summer for the first time. I have such happy memories of our day trip there including the ferry ride over--there is a shot of a Washington ferry in the book trailer above.

Anyway--I next visited the author's website, which is as delightful as her book sounds. And then I did something I have never had the nerve to do. I emailed her and asked for a copy of her book. She was the sweetest thing and emailed me back! Sadly there are no more available review copies but that is okay. This is my type of book and I can't wait to read it!

The release date is May 2011. I hope you all get yourself a copy and read it too! Oh, and head over to her website for a visit.
