wEeKeNdInG: Or why I have no completed yarn project to show!

(Adelaide, age 2 & Amelia, age 6 months)

Beautiful leaves
Walks
Blue skies
Knitting--lots!
Reading--a little
Laundry
Picking up toys and loving on my sweetest little Grandy's! They are here for a week and then moving 3-4 hours away next Friday--my heart is sad as the end of my time as a pretty present Mimi in their lives is coming to a close. There really is no way to describe Grandma love!

I saw this weekend feature over on Cloudberry's blog and over at Amanda's

In knitting news: I am still plugging along with all my projects, only now I am feeling pressure to start the second KAL that Knit Purl Hunter is running--socks!! Not just any sock but two at a time socks. I have never knit socks before so this truly will be a challenge I will post pictures next week--right now I have two Grandbabies and two extremely tired parents zonked out in the den where the camera and desktop computer are located. I did want to share this pattern link to an adorable pair of fingerless mitts is located. Kate from Good Purl Gone Bad shared her finished pair which she knit up for her little Miss. I don't know about all of you, but here in the damp Northwest, it is time to have some mitts to pull out. I can't wait to make these for Adelaide and to find a pattern for myself to wear!

Until next time....,
*smiles*

  1. Such sweet photos! You'll be surprised how close 3-4 hours will seem after a while. That's how far I live from my parents and over the years that trip seemed shorter and shorter :)

  2. The 3-4 hour thing will not be too much of an obstacle. Seriously. You'll still have wonderful weekends with the kids, it just may call for a bit more planning. Just think of all the wonderful audio books you'll listen to on the way up!

  5. Your grandkids are just gorgeous, you must be very proud!

Blue skies in autumn are the best, those crisp days are just perfect for walking.

I've read a few people are doing these two at a time socks, that would b way over my head, look forward to seeing them.

Thank you for you kind comments on my blog, I can highly recommend learning to crochet, it's so quick in comparison to what I could do knitting and I am totally addicted to it!
