Yarn Along: books and yarn

Today I am linking up with Ginny over at Small Things Yarn Along event.  Books and knitting...doesn't get much better.

Well, as far as reading goes, I  appear to be on a "southern fiction" bent. Over the weekend I finished Cotton Queen. I hope to write a review soon.  Now I have moved on to Moon Women, first published in 2001 and certainly not a new, hot off the presses book!  I really just started it last night and don't have an opinion of it quite yet.

On my needles, I am back to working on my Esprit Tunic, for Grandy Adelaide. I started this quite some time ago, but it got shoved in the corner by the charity blanket and some other smaller things I was working on.  But the time has come, because I finished my blanket last night....hooray!...to bring this back out. It knits up quite quickly and I hope to finish it by this weekend.  It will be the last item I knit from my Year of Projects list for this year.  I cannot believe that  our year is almost over and that we are already needing to start planning for year 2!  I will show pictures of my blanket next Sunday....

Now.... tell me what you are reading and what you are creating!
