Here in the US, it is Mother's Day and I was blessed today to have 2 of my boys at church with me, and then the treat of being taken out to lunch by them, my husband and one of the boys' girlfriend. I truly believe that the most important thing I have done in my life was become a mother and raise 4 great people. :)
This past Friday, I was also blessed to help my best friend get her daughter married off! It was a beautiful wedding, she was a gorgeous bride, and the groom is a terrific man. I was so glad to be able to help my friend pull the event off without a hitch. (It was surely pay back for all the wonderful things she did to help me when my daughter got married 6 years ago!) But you can imagine that all that took away knitting time!
I have been plugging away on my charity blanket, and I am determined to get it finished this week. I am in the mood to start some summer knits--or quite possibly some Christmas gift knitting! (shh...don't tell anyone I said the C word already!)
Next weekend is our South Sound Yarn Crawl--8 yarn shops in one day, with 3 great friends, will be a fun day for sure. Part of my Mother's Day gift from my husband today was money to spend on yarn! He is a definitely a keeper!
Until next time--happy knitting!

Bright little dishcloths will be such instant gratitude while chugging through that charity blanket. That blue is brilliant BTW.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
I've just discovered the instant gratification of dish/face cloth knitting. That yarn will make some gorgeous ones! I love the blue of the blanket and I'm jealous of your yarn crawl!
ReplyDeleteLove the charity blanket, it's a gorgeous colour!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is looking awesome, such an pretty color. You said that word...the C word, I'm gonna tell, I'm gonna tell, you're gonna be in trouble. lol
ReplyDeleteYour charity blanket is looking scrumptious. I need to add some dishcloth knitting to my needles.
ReplyDeleteYay to early holiday knitting! I've already started too - I'm determined not to have achy fingers in December.
