Tardy, but here none the less
Hello my internet friends! What a terrible, bad, no good, blogger I have been for the past couple of weeks!
Well, life just got a bit too "Lifey" for me and internet just needed to take a back seat to everything else which was pressing in--things like illness, 2 cars which went *kaput* a week apart. ( At one point we had 5 people, 5 jobs, and only 2 cars. We pulled together as a family and made through to the other side), a visit from my girls, see the post below for adorable photos, and now this week a stint serving on jury duty.
But never fear---reading and knitting have taken place in the midst of the chaos! Here are the photos to prove it. (Book news will follow in a separate post.)
Remember earlier this summer when I was working on some cute, matching Milo vests for my darlings? Well, I had managed to finish two, but still had one left to go, and here it is!
My plan is to have it completed by the time of their next visit, sometime in the middle of September. I am knitting it using Knit Picks City Tweed.......Lovely stuff!
My second cast on is this Baby Vertebrae sweater for sweet baby Rosie. I am knitting the 6-12 month size and it is coming along quickly as there is no real front to the garment. Which also makes this an economical knit.
I bought this Ella Rae yarn at a yarn store near my daughter's house on the weekend that ended up being the weekend Rosie made her appearance. So of course I needed to knit something for her with it!
And lastly, I must show you this yummy Angora--brand name is Schulana.
Oh my, but I did fall in love with this yarn when I saw this hat knit with it--free pattern by the way. I am not a big hat wearer, but this? I will wear!
I hope to be a bit more timely with my YOP posts this coming weekend. I have missed you all!
